Top 5 Rated ATV’s For 2008

Well the new year is in and guess what? A whole new breed of ATVs has arrived. I can’t wait for the new year for that one simple reason. The technology of these new ATVs is amazing, Like the Yamaha Grizzly coming out with power steering (who would have thought) and the new 800 EFI 80 degree engine that is making sick power, and not to mention the huge independent suspension these beasts are coming stock with. I’ve been looking into the new designs to see if its time to upgrade my 650 Honda Rincon for something bigger and better and I have found several hardcore utility ATV’s to upgrade into.

Here is the top 5 rated ATV’s for 2008:

1. Outlander 800 H.O. EFI
The outlander 800 hit number one on my list for several reasons. To start, the massive engine Can-am put in this beast is in my opinion the meanest 800 EFI 80 degree v-twin engine on the market. The developers claim this engine has 28% more power than the Polaris 800 EFI engine. The frame is an SST frame witch is state of the art. The suspension is well built and the warranty that comes with this ATV is second to none.

2. Polaris Sportsman 800 EFI
The Polaris is no slouch when it comes to having power. This 800 EFI engine makes plenty of power for any trail you want to try. What I liked about the Polaris is the design of the ATV. All of the plastics are very thick and strong. To look at this ATV you can tell a lot of time goes into the design. It looks tough and I think that matters as long as it can back it up. Witch is not a problem for this machine. It has one of the best suspensions on any ATV.The other cool feature on this ATV is you can get it in 5 different colors. If you can’t have fun on this ATV then your just not trying.

3. Kawasaki Brute Force 750
This ATV has a smaller engine according to numbers, but when it comes to performance it’s a totally different story. The state of the art fuel system is what helps this machine keep up with the rest. It is a digitally controlled carbureted fuel system. The suspension is just as good as any, and the brakes, in my opinion, are the best braking system out there.

4. Yamaha 700 Grizzly
This ATV has won a lot of awards in magazines and on the trails. This ATV is fast and very versatile. It has some of the newest technology and the one and only ATV to have power steering. I had a chance to ride this beast and the steering is nothing short of amazing. It turns very effortlessly witch is a bonus when riding on any type of terrain. The one question I asked myself with this ATV is how strong is the power steering and the only way to find out is a lot of time and riding. If the steering holds up on this ATV I see it being on a lot more of them in the future.

5. Honda 675 FourTrax Rincon Gpscape
There are several reasons why this ATV made this position. It has a lot of power for the size. It is rated in 700 classes for a good reason. A lot of people think the bigger the number the faster it goes. Well in some cases but not this one. The suspension is high tech and the fuel system is right there with it. The brakes are top notch with a three point braking system. The really cool feature I liked on this ATV is the GPS. If your a rider who likes to ride deep woods and trails then this feature is perfect for you and the ATV its self is great.
