Tips For Dry Dishes In Bosch Dishwashers
Odds are that if you are reading this, then you have a Bosch dishwasher. Also, you may be wondering why your brand new Bosch dishwasher is not drying the dishes. If this explains your situation, I am here to assure you that you are not the only one. When we first got our Bosch Ascenta dishwasher, we were horrified that our dishwasher was broke and it was going to have to be either serviced or returned. That was until we did some research and read about Bosch’s use of condensation drying in their dishwashers. There are a few things that can be done to help those dishes that are not drying. Follow these tips for dry dishes in Bosch dishwashers:
Bosch Dishwasher Not Drying Dishes? Try these tips :
- Always run the hot water in the kitchen sink before starting your dishwasher. Keep running until sink water is HOT!
- Using a rinse agent is MANDATORY and this is why! (Bosch specifically recommends Finish Jet-Dry Turbo Dry Drying Agent
for the driest dishes.)
- Adjust the amount of rinse agent dispensing to the highest setting. (See owners manual on how to do this.)
- Use “auto” wash option. Most short cycle options do not use a drying cycle at all.
- Use “sanitize” option for every load. Not all models have this option. This uses a higher temperature water in the final rinse and is longer in time. (Make sure the cycle you choose allows “sanitize” to work.)
- Use “extra dry” option. Not all models have this option. Extra heat is added to the final rinse, which helps with the condensation drying.
- Allow several hours of dry time. (We run ours before going to sleep.)
- Plan on the plastic dishes to not dry as well as the other dishes.
- Empty the lower rack first and work your way up. This will prevent any excess water from top dishes dripping onto the lower dry ones.
All in all, we do really like our Bosch Ascenta dishwasher. After doing these tips suggested, there is a noticeable difference in the drying of the dishes at our house.
